Checking email with Outlook Express.
Microsoft Outlook is a popular email client that supports the use of both POP and IMAP email accounts.

Setting up Microsoft Outlook Express to check your email. [Windows]

1). In Outlook Express: Click on 'tools' then 'accounts'.




2). In the Accounts window: Select the 'Mail' tab, click on the 'Add' button and select 'Mail'.




3). For Display Name: Enter the name that you want shown when your emails are received by others. Click next to continue.

4). For E-mail Address: Enter the email address you would like to check. Click next to continue.

5). For Server Names: Choose 'IMAP' from the list of incoming mail servers. Enter 'mail.yourdomain.com' in the incoming and outgoing mail server box. Click next to continue.




6). For Internet Mail Logon: Enter your username and password for the email address you are setting up. The username for your email accounts at BrioHost are the full email address. Example:

Username: bob@yourdomain.com
Password: [set in control center]

You might want to check the 'Remember Password' box. Do not check SPA box. Click Next to continue.




7). After clicking 'Finish': Select the account you just created (highlight it) and click 'Properties'. Select the 'Servers' tab at the top. Check 'My Server Requires Authentication'. Click 'Apply' and then click 'OK'.




8). You have successfully configured Outlook to check your email account.
